Every year, Troy kicks off the Holiday Season with the Victorian Stroll. This year the Stroll is on Sunday, December 5th and we will be open - with a special "Stroll" menu and live Music!!
Our line up for the 2010 Victorian Stroll is still being lined up! But..................
Our main act for the 2010 Victorian Stroll is Broken String Band and Friends:
Music will be starting sometime around Noon or so and Broken String Band will be performing several times throuhout the day -
Formed in the summer of '74 to play a dance it has been one of the leading forces in Irish music in the region. While the personnel has changed somewhat over the years, founders' George Ward (vocals, concertina, guitar, accordion) and Ray Wall (low whistle, hammer dulcimer) have kept the core solid and play with the delight of old friends who have played many a tune together. George is also a well known folk singer, songwriter and Erie Canal expert. Regular band member John Roberts will not make it as he is touring the Northeast with "Noel Sing We Clear." Joining the group (a semi-regular) is Eric Everson on bouzouki as well as fiddle player Hilary Schrauf. Hilary has also promised to sing us a song or three. Also expect friends to occasionally join them on stage! Eric and Hilary also play with "Curragh", a traditional music group. This year local attorney Peter Jones will join us on fiddle.
Broken String Band will be playing Irish traditional music and Irish pub music throughout the day.
